Happy Belated Birthday

My 26th birthday was almost a week ago. I didn't forget, I was just having a ball! 


When I got off Wednesday morning I was not due back to work until tonight (Tuesday) and I was beyond excited! When I pulled up my neighbor was still in her car and she was blowing the horn and shouting "Happy Birthday Girl!" and we decided to go thrifting. I came in the house and spent a few minutes with B before he was off to work, showered, changed clothes, grabbed a drink and was back out the door. My neighbor was driving so I sipped my wine all day. 


We laughed til we cried ALL day! We went to a consignment shop, car dealership, Marshall's, and a few other stores and we both came home empty handed.


By this time we were both worn out, we both worked the overnight shift. Since I was on vacation I was not going down for a nap. I patiently waited for B to come home and prepare a seafood dinner (sorry I forgot pics, I was starving) and then my Coldstone Creamery cake and more wine. Best of all was my gift! He was so excited to give it to me so I knew it was something I really wanted, and it was! I've been asking for this for the past year and I finally got it!

I've been wanting this ring from the Love's Embrace Collection at Kay's Jewelers to match the necklace he bought me Christmas before last.

So finally...I have them both!

Florida Resorts: The Breakers Palm Beach Oceanfront Luxury Hotel Vacations

I was watching the Travel channel the other day and came across this hotel- Florida Resorts: The Breakers Palm Beach Oceanfront Luxury Hotel Vacations. It's located on Palm Beach which was rated #3 in the countdown from 10 of Florida's best beaches. This resort was featured and I was amazed! I knew I wanted to stay here.

So I just got around to checking out the site and I am beyond impressed. I'm thinking B and I can stay here in December and really wanting to make this his Christmas gift. I searched the entire site before checking the rates. Now I'm pissed! Not because it's expensive, I agree with the pricing compared to the amenities, I'm just pissed that this will have to be our vacay for next summer 'cause I need more time to stack up!

All in all the resort looks wonderful and I believe any couple, family, group of friends would love it here. If you're looking for a luxury Florida vacay and can swing it, check it out!

I Know...I Know...

...I'm a bad blogger. It's not my fault though. I really want to blog daily and I have so many ideas and discussion topics but this job...it's killing me softly. I'm working 10-13 hour days 5 days per week. When I finally get off  I'm pooped.


I'm gonna try blogging a week in advance, I really think it'll help. My plan is:


Mondays- Make-up look of the day (with Avon and /or mark. products)
Tuesdays- Outfit of the day
Wednesdays- Fave Avon or mark. product
Thursdays- Q&A or confessions
Fridays- Recipe
Saturdays- Design/fashion inspiration or whatever comes to mind


I plan to get started next week and I also plan to start over with the 30 day blog challenge. My blog is my outlet, I don't have many girlfriends so I girl gab here. Hopefully you'll gab back.

30 Day Blog Challenge- Day 3

My Idea of the Perfect 1st Date:


Our (B & I) first date was not exactly perfect but it was good enough that we decided to see each other again; and it was perfect the second time.


We met at a bar in downtown Baltimore. I had never heard of this place before but he insisted. The downstairs was like a traditional bar, TV's, bar stools and a few tables. Then we went upstairs, total 180 degree turn. The lights were dim, a separate DJ, pool tables, couches, and more intimate setting over all. We talked and drank ALL night long! We played pool, hit the dance floor and chilled with the DJ. It was SO much fun. We learned so much about each other that night and learned we had tons in common too.


This was a perfect date because we shared great conversation in an awesome atmosphere and the night made us both want to continue seeing each other...and here we are 4.5 years later.

That's me! That pic is from last Monday, I was just playing around with my webcam while I was waiting for B to get dressed. I'm in chill mode (and attire) today which is why I chose this pic.

Today is going pretty good so far. My 8 hour work day/night turned into 12 but hey...what can you do? After work I stopped at the car wash (which was much needed) and now I'm home blogging and cooking dinner.


Oh yeah! I just talked to my mom. We haven't talked in a while. It was good to hear from her and share a good laugh. I was actually planning to stop by her house this weekend, I still can.
